    FBI alerted local law enforcement about Tar Sands protest group

    Emails from an Open Records Act request reveal that in October 2015, an FBI “master bomb technician,” Barry T. Black sent out a mass email to local law enforcement agencies alerting them to a peaceful protest. The protest action was organized by members of the Great Plains Tar Sands Resistance.

    Two GPTSR members are facing charges of engaging in a terrorism hoax because their 2014 banner drop at Devon Tower lost some glitter in the process. After a court hearing today, the activists’ terrorism charges have evidently been dropped down to a $500 penalty for disorderly conduct.

    Spooks were on GPTSR’s tail long before the infamous ‘Glitter Gate’ incident. As early as September 2013, OSBI and FBI agents were tracking the activity of the anti-pipeline/anti-fracking activists, and sharing intelligence with local law enforcement agencies such the OHP, and even Devon Energy’s own private security contractors.
